For You Final Fantasy Freaks
Posted by Jay in Final Fantasy XIII, Hardware Bundles, PLAYSTATION Store, PS3, Tokyo Game Show on September 23rd, 2009

As of right now, I’m not 100% sure if these will be made available in either North American or PAL territories, but Sony has announced at it’s SCEJ Press Conference the FFXIII Bundle, called the Lightning Edition, which includes a 250GB hard drive and is white with a red Lightning design on the face of the console (thanks to No Kill Tayler pointing out where to find the pic). The bundle will retail for 41,600 yen and will be for sale on December 17th, day and date with the standalone software.
Also of note, Final Fantasy VIII will be made available on the PlayStation Store (at least, in Japan) on Thursday for 1,500 yen. Hopefully it will hit state side and across the pond tomorrow as well. I’m sure one of my favorites, FFIX, will soon follow suit in a couple months.
TGS 2009: The Last Guardian: Behind the Scenes and Trailer
Posted by Jay in The Last Guardian, Tokyo Game Show on September 23rd, 2009
This video was shown at the end of the White Knight Chronicles media event. I’m still unsure of what the gameplay is actually like, but looking back on their previous games, it won’t be anything short of jaw dropping.
Remember when the Shadow of the Colossus demo came out and a lot of us got it in the mail (being signed up for the PlayStation Underground) and you came across that first colossi? It literally took my breath away. It was definitely one of the gems of the PS2 era, and also managed to get the Greatest Hits status in the process. If you ever get the chance, be sure to check it out.
The Official Blog will have an interview with Team ICO Director and Game Designer Fumito Ueda sometime soon, and as soon as that pops up, we’ll get it on here for you guys (and gals).

God of War III Demo Included in God of War Collection
Posted by Tosh in God of War 3, God of War Collection on September 23rd, 2009

When you purchase the God of War Collection, there is a voucher code that comes with it for the God of War III demo. The demo is the same one shown at E3 this year. The God of War Collection will be released November 10, 2009.
Here is a quick overview of the God of War Collection:
- Remastered versions of God of War and God of War II in 720P
- 2x anti-aliased graphics
- 60 frames per second
- PSN trophy support
I know I’ll be picking this up. I have beat both of these games, but I just rented them both.

Tekken 6 Wireless Arcade Stick Details & Box Art

Finally some details about the wireless arcade stick. It’s not bluetooth for one, so that means a USB dongle which is a little disappointing, but oh well. I’ll be getting some rechargeable batteries for it unless it comes with some. But 40 hours of life is pretty decent.
PS3 Wireless Stick Spec
- The first wireless PS3 arcade stick on the market
- 8 button layout / Arcade style joystick and buttons
- Integrated 2.4 GHz high-performance wireless technology for seamless game play
- Licensed Tekken 6 artwork used on the plate design.
- Transmission Range: Up to 32 feet
- Battery life: Up to 40 hours on two AA batteries
- Weight: Less than 2 ½ pounds
- Maximum number of sticks: 7 (when using USB Hub)
The box art looks pretty sweet. Glad I’m getting the Limited Edition
In-game grief reporting facility?
Looks like this feature is either hidden somewhere in the depths of firmware 3.01 or just delayed. The image below came from the Uncharted 2 European Multiplayer Beta terms and conditions page.

Going to ps3reporting.com will forward you to uk.playstation.com/support right now. So there may be some truth to this. Hopefully we’ll find out soon.
Want To Know More About FFXIIIVersus?
In the latest issue of Famitsu, Nomura states that we can expect an information blowout regarding FFXIIIVersus early next year. He also says that he’d like to reveal details sooner, but the development team doesn’t want to reveal anything until the quality of the game is better improved. 2010 is shaping up very nicely!
