The voice of Nathan Drake (Nolan North) has hinted that he would like to see Hugh Jackman play the part of Nathan Drake in the upcoming movie. Supposedly Hugh Jackman is the front-runner for the part. Could you see Wolverine .. I mean Hugh play Nathan? I could see it if he did his own stunts.
“Jackman is who I’d like to see. I think the producers would like to see Jackman too, because he has that tough guy exterior, but [...] there’s also a lot going on behind his eyes. A lot of emotion and sensitivity on that brusque exterior, and he has great comic timing. He’s a phenomenal actor. I just hope I get a part on the movie so I can work with Hugh.”

Jackman would be good. It would definately mean more marketing money and the studio trying to turn it into a summer blockbuster.
Nathan Fillion would be awesome for the role as well. But he doesn’t have the star power of Jackman. No offence to Nathan. I bought Dr. Horrible because of him. I’d rather have Nathan but Uncharted is a franchise. The studios would be looking to turn it into a 3 movie summer Blosckbuster, happy meal, Christmas toy extravaganza.
Whatever they do. Cast Claudia Black as herself/Chloe. If anyone has ever seen Farscape you know she can handle it. In fact i was just thinking how great it would be if Naughty dog got the license to do a Farscape game in the Uncharted mold. The story would be there. The gun fights. and the puzzle solving. It would be A pretty good match.

the movie was already said to follow the storyline of the first Uncharted, so there won’t be a Chloe. IMO, to make the characters sound the same as their in game counterparts, I still think Nolan North should have Drake’s part. He looks more like Drake than anyone, and he does the voice work:

I think ND would be smart if they just used Nolan North. Hugh/Wolverine/Prestidge/Van Helsing/Jackman is no Nathan Drake.

FWIW, my vote resoundingly sides with Nathan Fillion playing Drake. His attitude just seems to fit Drake’s personality to a tee. It could be his “breakout” role. Here’s hoping…

I think Hugh Jackman would do fine playing drake. The only downside to this is his accent. He has that british type voice and as we all know Nathan Drake is full american. Ppl jus needs to open there eyes and see the big picture. Even the guy who does Drake’s voice in the game wants Hugh to play the part. Anyway is goes this movie is going to kick ass.

David Boreanaz (not sure if I spelt that right…the guy who plays Angel and is in that show Bones) looks a hell of a lot like Drake and I could see him playing it pretty well.

Honestly, playing the game, my immediate first thought was: “If they make a film version of this, Nathan Fillion would be perfect for the lead”. Make it happen, goddamit!
