vector graphics are definitely the way to go, and I agree about illustrator/photoshop teplates. Would make it a lot easier. The only thing I'd really hope for is that manufacturer logos use vector graphics as well so they'll still have detail even at small sizes, if they do go that route.

If it's similar to Midnight Club: LA (where it gives you percentages and whatnot for size, location, angle, etc.) then console-based manipulation is a lot easier (Forza 2, and I'm sure Forza 3 were the same way) It comes in handy for custom lettering and whatnot (since anything besides manufacturer logos are actually mirrored as separate pieces as opposed to flipping them onto the other side, leaving one side, in a sense, backwards and mirrored, you get what I mean lol. Zz would look like sS on the other side)

Forza 2, at least, had some crazy ridiculous designs. A lot of Live memberships were banned, though, because peope were making "tentacle" designs if you catch my drift lol. My Mopar Racing '68 Barracuda Formula S, IMO, looked great, though

Custom Liveries would indeed be awesome. But I imagine that the amount of detail needed in the textures would be extreme. I almost see that as a DLC tool. Not everyone is interested in creating their own car. But I'm sure they would be interested in buying some custom designs.
I heard that Forza uses vector graphics to make their designs. As long as the tools are relatively easy to use, considering most people would be using a controller. It would be great if they made Illustrator templates. I could use them to create a quick design and then wrap it onto a car.
Can't wait for the demo and then the game.

well, the damage bit would be an option, or, at least, should be. As far as the photo mode goes, I'll probably use that all the time (I did with GT4, my PS2 memory card was full of them lol)

As far as weather and night, I hope that's true.

the one thing I really, really want, though, is custom livery support similar to Forza's. And it allowing you to do full engine swaps (though, that's limited to one other engine in Forza, rather than, say, upgrading a 327 in a '69 Z28 Camaro to either a 350, 383, 396, 402, 427, 454, 502, etc). I have a big wishlist myself lol

EDIT: And photo mode would be really awesome if custom liveries were supported!

Part of me is impressed at the detail these guy go to... The other part of me has zero interest in taking mega-resolution 20 megapixel pictures of cars or experiencing authentic car alignment damage.

I heard they have night mode done and weather effects might come as well, which both sound really cool...

I have a big wish list item I will save for another day.
