Winter Release Schedule Likely to Freeze Your Bank Accounts

So we are in the calm before the storm so to say right now where game releases are few and far between. Most of us I think use this period to catch up on our backlogs and go for some of the more demanding trophies.

With the Winter season starting up, we are about to be bombarded by good releases.

Darksiders ——————-1/5
Bayonetta ——————-1/5
Army of Two: The 40th Day –1/12
MAG ————————1/26
White Knight Chronicles ——2/2
Gran Turismo 5 ————–2/2 approximate
Bioshock 2 ——————2/9
Dante’s Inferno ————–2/9
Star Ocean —————–2/9
Heavy Rain —————–2/16
Lost Planet 2 —————2/23
Final Fantasy XIII ———–3/9
Yakuza 3 ——————-4/1
God of War III ————–4/1
The Last Guardian ———–Most likely this time frame

UPDATE: Added Google Calendar. Added many other great games for Q1 –Darrin

There are many more titles then this being release in this 1st quarter, but these are the bigger ones as far as I can see.

What games do you plan on purchasing? Who is going to be broke?

Of course GoW 3 is at the top of my list. 09 was an awsome year for ps3 and the look of this list 2010 looks even better. Hopefully Naughty Dog comes out w/a U2 GOTY Special Edition with like new DLC for single player and new maps for mulitplayer. That would b awsome. I know i keep sayin dis but im so ****in pump. CONGRATS once again to ND for winning GOTY.

Out of those I’m only sure I’m getting Bioshock 2. Might get others if trade in offers permit.

Iam getting all of them except for Army of two 2, and Bioshock 2, cuz the first ones totally sucked. GoW3 and The Last Gaurdian are the ones Iam most excited for.

Are u crazy Trieloth Aof2 wasnt a bad game at all, yea it was pretty boring if u didnt have another person playin with u but it a good game and bioshock is an AMAZING game. U must not like shooters.

Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain, God Of War 3.

  9. #9 by Blackstaffer on December 15th, 2009

I just see a whole lot of meh. Maybe I’ll play one of them.

  10. #10 by Kicks on December 15th, 2009 [ 559 Points ]

I’ll probably not get any due to money, but I do have my eye on Battlefield Bad Company 2

The demo for Dante’s has piqued my interest

  11. #11 by Fleakitten on December 15th, 2009

Fortunatly only one of those games are worth an immediate purchase; WKC.

Will wait and see on Heavy Rain. Played the Bayonetta demo and saw nothing special there and there’s noway anyone should waste a dime on SO4 unless SE massively improves it over the 360 version.

You forgot Dynasty Warriors StrikeForce. Gotta love that series.

  12. #12 by Eddie on December 15th, 2009

    WKC
    FFXIII
    Heavy Rain
    The Last Guardian
    MAG

    I want these.

  13. #13 by Royalty32 on December 15th, 2009

Dante’s Inferno is a bunch of god of war wanna be garbage. Downloaded da demo and it sucks, graphics arent that good either. Im lookin foward to MAG as well, jus wanna see if they can really pull of 256 players with no lag. If this wrks that game is gonna be huge. Also looking forward to GoW 3 (Duh!!!) Heavy Rain, Mod Nation Racer, The Last Guardian and Yakuza 3.

  14. #14 by mcloki on December 15th, 2009

FFXIII is going to be a must buy. The rest will be a money in pocket time decision.

  15. #15 by George on December 15th, 2009

I’m a sucker for anything by square enix.

    FFXIII
    GT5

are the ones that I will be buying at launch, the rest will wait until they get a price drop or two.

Gran Turismo is not Feb. I wish it was..

  17. #17 by Trieloth on December 15th, 2009 [ 3426 Points ]

@Royalty32 I like shooters and many different types of games. Army of Two was fun but not worth buying the second one on day one. Bioshock? well I dont have nothing nice to say about that game so I will keep that opinion to myself.

  18. #18 by Eddie on December 15th, 2009

thanks for the calendar update darrin. looks good.

  19. #19 by Darrin on December 15th, 2009

Only two that I want day one for Q1 2010: Heavy Rain + Yakuza 3

Several others though look really good, and I’ll buy if they early reviews look good:
    Lost Planet 2
    Dead Rising 2
    RUSE

And my most anticipated game of all 2010 is shortly later in April: Red Dead Redemption

  20. #20 by Tosh on December 15th, 2009 [ 1102 Points ]

    Heavy Rain
    God of War III

My list is pretty short right now. Hopefully I’ll have a job in time to buy these.

  21. #21 by Paranoimia on December 15th, 2009 [ 1285 Points ]

Heavy Rain and Last Guardian for me. Possibly MAG. GT5 is a definite, but won’t fall in the timeframe above – not sure where you got that date from.

    The rest – no thanks.

  22. #22 by Tosh on December 16th, 2009 [ 1102 Points ]

Aliens VS Predator needs to be added to that list.

  23. #23 by Trieloth on December 16th, 2009 [ 3426 Points ]

I second that Tosh, Aliens vs Predator looks awesome
