that’s cool, but what we really need to go with that is a DVR-type deal like the PlayTV and the Torne

I really don’t see this as a big deal. It is only a receiver for SlingBox right? If I read it correctly that is a really useless feature as a laptop would be easier to travel with. Unless your PS3 is hooked up to a TV without a cable box, I don’t get the point.
Am I missing something?

well, if it streams TV to the PS3, maybe the PSP can use the remote play feature and access the PS3 and play the TV onto the PSP through that? In that case, it’s actually really cool. If not, IMO, I think it’s a bit pointless as well. Im still waiting for the US equivalent of PlayTV and Torne, though.

This would be great for someone like me. I moved recently to a country where the broadband connection speeds are great, but the TV is c**p. I have an Xbox 360 and I am considering buying a PS3 here in the new place. I will get a slingbox to leave back home at my brother’s place and then I can watch good TV. I would really like it if I could do this through the PS3 or Xbox.
