New Releases for the Week of 01/24/10

[tab:PS3 Releases]

This week’s biggest PS3 release is definitely MAG, and the title will hit all major release regions by the end of the week (most being tomorrow). So far, the game has garnered a lot of mix reviews, and currently has a Metacritic score of 80 (with the user score at 8.6/10), which is, for the most part, a big positive considering the game is attempting to do something no other game has, though, the title is really only going to attract a specific crowd, seeing as it’s very tactical.

Japan is also seeing 3 other releases this week, which are listed below.

PlayStation 3

MAG – January 26th // ESRB T

MAG – January 28th // PEGI 16

MAG – January 28th // OFLC M

Ar Tonelico 3 – January 28th
Resonance of Fate – January 28th
MAG – January 28th
Last Rebellion – January 28th

This week, there is only one supposed PSP release in Shadow of Destiny. I don’t know anything about the game, though, so I can’t really tell you whether or not it’s any good, but for those who followed the game, it should be available now!

Wonder how well MAG is selling compared to Mass Effect 2 atm.

Mass Effect 2 is probably smacking it around
I really want MAG, but a couple of things would have to happen. I would need the money to buy it and the time to enjoy it :)

MAG is incredible! The one downfall is being stuck in a team where no one has any ideas on what to do. However, I know this will change once people start getting used to it.

I took the day of from work yesterday just to get some serious MAG hours in, and, oh boy, what fun I had!

Sales? who cares, I will be enjoying both. Japan gets a bunch of RPGs. Must be nice.
