The 360 wait wasn't that long. The Ballad of Gay Tony just came out at the end of 2009.

Do we care? Yes!! I definitely want this.. Honestly, I'm more excited about Red Dead Redemption. And God of War 3 and Heavy Rain and Yakuza 3. But after those, this is my top pick :)

they're essentially their own games taking place in GTAIV's location. Given the ammount of content in each episode (I own both on the 360), $40 is actually a bit of a bargain.

Now as far as the release itself goes, the Ballad of Gay Tony had just come out last October, along with the Episodes of Liberty City standalone disc (which, I might add, doesn't require you to have GTAIV), so between the original release in October to the PS3 release in March, it's really no different than it was when the PS2 got GTA3-SA about the same amount of time before they hit the PC (in fact, a couple months shorter; the XBox version was released long after).

The Lost and the Damned only came out last February, so this is only a little over a year since that was released, which, in hindsight, is still better than the release of GTA3 in October of 2001 for PS2 compared to the XBox release in November 2003, two years after the initial release. In fact, for Vice City, it still didn't hit XBox until a year later as well (in North America anyway, other territories didn't see it until January 2004).

As far as San Andreas goes, the XBox version was released alongside the PC version, but that was still about 8 months after the PS2 release.

So looking at the numbers, between the release of the Lost and the Damned from the 360 to the PS3, it's about 13 months (about the same as Vice City), but between the release of the Ballad of Gay Tony and the Episodes of Liberty City standalone disc, it's only about 5 months (shorter than the wait between the releases of San Andreas on the PS2 and XBox), which is a hell of a lot better, and that didn't cost Sony a dime but cost Microsoft $50 million.

Do people still care, though? Obviously some don't, but it definitely hasn't been no 22 months! Maybe since the release of GTAIV alone, but 360 owners still had to wait until February of last year before they could enjoy the first DLC. For the price and the content included, though, you can't beat $40.

In some cases, IMO, the DLC was better than the original game (and in terms of gameplay time with missions alone, each episode has about 5-8 hours, which would add up to about a whole game in itself anyway). Not to mention the loads of new multiplayer game types they come with as well. If you havent tried the DLC on the 360, I definitely recommend at least renting it.

I'll give Rock Star my money for Red Dead Redemption. Hopefuly we won't have to wait 22 months for DLC for that game.
