Mainly becuase now that they at MP they dont think that the single player campain will be as good as the first. I kinda agree because everytime multiplayer is added on the single player seems to get the back seat. Now not all game do this games like Uncharted 2 does a good job balancing both MP and Single player. Im really excited about BS2 if the multiplayer and single player are a blast then this game will have a strong case for GOTY. Alot of ppl are skeptical about this game.
