It’ll depend a lot on reviews and my money situation. As Royalty32 just mentioned Darksiders looked pretty skipable, but the reviews have made me really give it a second look. If Heavy Rain gets some amazing reviews it might bump it up on my priority list. Heck I had no intention of ever playing Uncharted after that first game, but seeing the love that the second game has gotten it’s tempted me to give it a shot should I see it on a semi-decent sale.

True, im one of those ppl who sometimes buy’s a game based off reviews. Ex. Darksiders, i wasnt gonna pick it up but glad i did. Excellent game. I just hope heavy rain get the credit it deserves because that game is gnna be awsome. Theyre takin a big risk and i hope ppl dont throw it away. Also this is a game that sony needs to market the hell out of.

Royalty32: Do you guys think that Heavy Rain will sell well. Seeing that Uncharted2, which is one of the best games ever made only did 3 million so far, it’s kinda iffy if Heavy Rain will even do 1 million. Im not tryna start shit i just get pissed when great games dont do well then studios start shuttin down.

3 million is quite a bit, especially after taking into consideration Metal Gear Solid 4 sold over 5 million and is the PS3's highest selling exclusive and its been out since June 2008. Heavy Rain caters to a far more niche market, though, so sales for that are expected to be lower, but it will most likely sell about a million sooner or later. The question is, despite there possibly being a good number of mediocre to bad reviews, will people still pick it up?

I loved their last game (censored as it was) and Heavy Rain seems to be a more refined experience from that same mold, so I’ll be getting it. Unless I win the contest. Too bad we’re not getting a special edition like Europe.
