But yes, good news! LBP is a game you can go back and play over and over, with new levels appearing all the time. As for LPB2, I remember reading that if they make part 2, it will be a long way off, as the updates keep adding new features, such as the recent water add-on. Great game!

  • Guys, look for terbas (username) alien eggs level, it is better for single player, tho.. Please play it πŸ˜€ (My brother’s level, sorry for the shameless plug!) I’ll also post in forums πŸ˜›

Took them long enough. Hopefully Mm can do more than LBP, right?

  • Great now Sony has a potential Platform mascot. Sackboy could be as big as Mario of they handle the property correctly.

The Games will come. The greater potential for LBP was always the spinoff games that could be created.

I’ve always wanted a LBP “Mario Galaxy” type game. And when the Motion controller comes out they should make a quick hit demo game as a pack in for the peripheral. The game mechanics are all there.

I’d also like to see Home get Sackboys.

Overall a good move by Sony and especially now considering that they seem to have their markting house in order. Kevin Butler is great.

I hope they jus dnt use LBp an jus an create, share type game. It would get boring and old very quick just like music games. Hopefully Sony has something else in store for sackboy.

  • Aquire talented studios that will make a long term return with quality games vs securing 3rd party time-exclusives is how you spend millions of dollars correctly.

well, they could always expand into racing games. Oh wait. lol

what other genres could they really expand into, though? If Mm’s theme is user creativity, it would be pretty hard to effectively expand into genres outside of side-scrolling and racing (and yes, I know ModNation Racers is a different developer, but I’m just using it as an example), without over-complicating it and losing it’s general ‘feel’ that LBP left us with.
