Square Enix working on new AAA Title
Square Enix has announced that they are working on a AAA title with a goal metacritic of 90 or higher for the core gamer demographic. They will incorporate their Japanese and American studios on this project. The lead developer for Dissidia (Yosuke Shiokawa)will be taking the helm.
Say goodbye White Engine and hello Luminous Engine. SE has created a new game engine and are boasting live editing amongst other things that make this superior to their former White Engine.
*No news if the new engine will be used for this AAA game.
Sony is suing SHOPPSJAILBREAK.com for breaching copyright laws, violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and Trademark Infringement. The hackers are calling this “scare tactics”.
EA has announced that multiplayer will be included in the much anticipated Dead Space 2. Players will team up and control either Soldiers or Necromorphs in a deathmatch type game mode. Other details on multiplayer are scarce but a press release is expected out of EA soon.
Gearbox announced that Borderlands game of the year edition will be released in October 2010, and it will include the three current DLC packages, the upcoming fourth DLC, and a collectible map of the gameworld Pandora. It will retail for 59.99 USD on the PS3 and 360, and for 49.99 USD on the PC.
Via and interview with DigitalSpy at Gamescom, Kitase stated that “The 3rd Birthday” could be extended to the PS3 depending how it sells on the PSP. Great news for all Parasite Eve fans!
