At the time of its release, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was one of the most beautiful games of it’s time. Two years later, in 2009, the sequel Among Thieves forever raised the bar in graphics, storytelling, and gameplay. Many high quality PS3 titles have ended up in some shape or form on its cousin, the PSP. Now it seems like Uncharted may be charted for that same course.
Speaking to Joystiq, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells expressed interest of Uncharted on handhelds.
“I think it would be fantastic to see the game (move) onto a handheld system. Each one of the episodes is sort of like a standalone thing and I think we could do that pretty easily. If we can find a partner to work with, I’d love to do that … we definitely wouldn’t do it ourselves. We’re trying to just focus on the PS3 technology and platform right now. But, if we can’t find a partner, then maybe we’re going to have to find a budget ourselves.”
