Rumor: Insomniac Games Going Multiplatform

Long time PlayStation developer Insomniac Games allegedly has become a multiplatform developer, according to a trusted source who spoke with IGN under the condition of anonymity.

Insomniac Games has enjoyed a long relationship with Sony, but over the years has remained an independent studio. Insomniac reserves the right to create games for any platform. Insomniac is based in Burbank, California. Earlier this year, Insomniac Games opened a new studio in North Carolina.

It’s completely unlikely that any PlayStation franchise would make an appearance on another console, or hand-held, since they have been published by Sony.

Insomniac Games’ president Ted Price said that the developer “does not comment on rumors and speculation.” Until there is official confirmation, take this rumor with a grain of salt.

The fact that they didn’t just answer ‘no’ means something of a ‘we can’t confirm this publically..yet..’ if you ask me.
