Kevin Butler Takes Shots at Wii and Natal

This one was pretty funny. It’s not a commercial, but only online. The thing that threw me off, though, was when the guy was playing SOCOM 4, holding the subcontroller, he swung that and threw a grenade. Does that mean that the sub controller has some motion sensing as well? Anyway, it’s kinda funny when he makes fun of the Wii and Natal haha!

You know, Sony man you gotta love them really yuo gotta love them i mean guys cmon if your a rapper in the Bronx of new york and you bite another rappers lyrics and not just bite them i mean totally steal his lines and go on live air rapping them knowing this guy is listening but you still go ahead and rap his lyrics you know what is going to happen to you don’t you ? yuo will be six feet under the ground my point is wow Sony, like wow really i still think im dreaming did they really go and like clone the wii mote and wow its got an orb at the end of it. Sony do something of your own for once your original controller is a very good design just leave it like that, that is why i loved my ps one and ps two for god sake guys, and this guy i mean you talk about the future but four years ago everyone laughed at ninty when they showed the wii mote so don’t be talking about the future FOOL but still its very entertaining wow

Yeah but your vibrator is still just a vibrator with more buttons. Motion control fail.

I think it feels good not to be the punching bag for once. Go senior vice president of … time travel?

regarding the grenade throw: maybe the camera picked up the arm-swing or the guy was *really* getting into Socom..

Great Ad. You know it’s great when it brings out the haters. Touched a sore spot did we? Still I’m withholding judgment until developers bring the games. Will developers just LCD (lowest common denominator) the motion games so they work with the weakest Motion controller or will they take advantage of each Controllers better features.
    Anyways great ad.

Either way this will boost development if a company can get sales for both the wii and the PS3. Great ad this guy makes me laugh every time. Yeah its a coppy of the wii but the 360 and PS3 are pretty much do the same thing but you don’t hear anyone saying that. This is what industries have done forever. You make something good (first to market) well I will just make a better version (competitors). Its basic economics here. However I do agree it is time for sony to come up with something on their own for once.

Agree with the jab at Natal (pew pew pew) but trying to make the Wii look bad when it’s been kicking Sony’s ass for the last couple of years seems… childish. Hopefully by the time Move is release it will have several games instead of just a bunch of copycat games I’ve already played 4 years ago…

oh, I guess making the Blu-Ray standard on all consoles, and creating the blu-ray spec in the first place, wasn’t enough to warrant coming up with something on their own :P. Maybe that’s what Microsoft should do as well? What have they come up with that no one else has? Also, Sony started the motion control trend back in the early 2000s with the EyeToy, but it was Nintendo that sparked the sales fire

it’s only been kicking Sony’s ass in sales, not quality games. The ad was simply poking fun at the Wii’s 2D motion tracking, with the PS3 doing 3D.
