According to a French Gaming site, a recent press release sent to developers states that the PS Store updates will be moving to Wednesdays starting on May 5th, 2010. That would give the PSN updates the same date as the X-Box. The following is taken from the site and translated via google.

A press release recently sent to developers said the date for updating the PlayStation Store is subject to change. Indeed, from 5 May, the updates to the virtual platform will be made Wednesday.

  1. usually, M$ gets marketplace updates on Tuesdays, which is when I think Sony should actually move it to, so it coincides with disc-based releases here in the states

  2. Well, if were getting content a day before the usual from now on that’s great… but Sony really needs to step up and put that content out there by 2 p.m. on a Wednesday… instead of around 7-8 p.m.

    The thing with my xbox is I have to wait a week to check out demos (not a gold member) so have to wait way to long and end up not caring about the xbox updates.
