I've got an idea for a game - it should be a FPS, set either in the jungle or a modern setting. The SP part can just be bits bolted together, and it doesn't matter if the story makes any sense at all as long as it doesn't last any more than 6 hours. We can then focus our efforts on the MP aspect, allowing players to level up their skills and gain new weapons. We should call it "NOT Call of Duty" - I'm sure nobody will have seen anything like it before :p

@SicSemperTyranis
A new start because they no longer have to work in the confines of Activision. They can have creative control over their games nows. Just because they worked with EA before doesn't mean that what happens now can't be different then before.

EA and Activision are 2 of the biggest publishers around. EA actually topping Activision last year. So to have the budget to create games as big as CoD. You need a big publisher backing you up. The sad thing is though. Activision has to much control in their games. So hopefully with EA. We can get map packs for 5 dollars instead of 15. We can get dedicated servers in multiplayer. They can take their time in developing the game and not have churn one out every year like Activision wants.

I'm not worried at all about over saturating the genre of FPS. FPS have been around for over 30 years. They get better as time goes on. All that happens when you have more titles, is competition. With competition you see better games. When something comes out that surpasses COD. COD will have to get better in order to compete. If not then the title dies and we move on.

When you have one top dog and there's no competition. Then that title becomes stale. We saw it before with COD. All we were getting were more WWII games from COD. Then DICE came out with Battlefield 2. Which I'm sure COD took a hit from. So then we got Modern Warfare the following year. Which had a great (but short) campaign. Not looking to be upstaged, DICE decided that Battlefield doesn't always need to be just a online shooter. So they came out with Bad Company. Giving us both a single player campaign and something new in the mulriplayer. Destructive environments.

Now Medal of Honor is getting into the action of taking their games into modern times. So far, it looks like the new Medal of Honor is going to be awesome. That means we can look forward to seeing better games in the future.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Respawn can come out with. I really hope that they get most of the team from Infinity Ward to come over to Respawn. Time will tell I guess.

I am with Jay on this, how are they saying Activisions statements are false? Activision said that they were taking private jets to meet with EA executives and now several weeks later they have a new studio are with EA.

Now I guess EA could have gotten wind of this after they fired them both and now are trying to make it seem like they were planning this all along and this is why they fired them, just so they don't have to pay them.
