derrickgott007: Eden,I disagree.Look at Battlefield Bad Company 2.All of the DLC that they’ve released so far has been on the disc. But here’s their catch….If you bought it NEW, you register your code and you are a VIP and the DLC so far has been 100% free.If you buy it used, you have to buy the code off the PSN for $15.00, and then DLC is free.I think that is brilliant.Because the developers get NOTHING from used games sales, and this way they can recoup some of that lost revenue.JustCause2 has a bunch of DLC on the disc, but you know what? The game kicks butt without ANY of it unlocked. So I agree 100% with David Jaffe.

lol, I bought BFBC2 used from Gamefly and they sent me the case, and it included the VIP code, too lol. Not bad for $35

I disagree partly on the game sharing aspect. I game share with one of my friends that I actually know personally. I think that game sharing is okay as long as it's with people you know.

Day one DLC INCLUDED on the disc should not be charged for. It's that simple.

I completely agree with him on the aspect of Game Sharing. Not so sure about the 'on-disc DLC' though.

Whether you own the content on the disc, or it's seen as a license, the fact remains that you have paid for the content on the disc. It doesn't matter how much enjoyment you think you've had from the game - the fact is, they've already developed and coded that content, and saw fit to distribute it on the disc - which you have already paid for, at a price they deemed suitable for all the content on that disc.

Even if it only becomes available at a later date through a code from the store, it should not cost you anything extra.

I wouldn't liken it to buying a car with a locked glove compartment. I'd say it was more like buying a car where you had to pay an extra £5/$5 the first time you used every single switch, button and lever.
