4 Player Co-Op for Battlefield 2 Announced | PS3Blog.net

It’s called Onslaught Mode and will be 4 players against the AI on modified maps that are already in the game but with new time settings and also customised to fit the new mode. It won’t be free but it’s nice to see a new game mode coming.

“We’re thrilled to bring something new and fresh to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 while still keeping Battlefield’s signature gameplay intact. We want to consistently support the over 4 million fans playing the game with new ways to get into multiplayer and also challenge the elite players with new experiences to improve their performance online. Effective squad play is the key to success in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer and this new mode will provide players with a dedicated environment to test their team skills and rank against the competition.”

– Patrick Bach, Senior Producer at DICE.

No word on pricing or a release date as of yet.

  • I would buy this game if it had that co-op stuff. I dont care if it cost money. Played Lost Planet 2 co-op with some friends last night and it was relaxing and fun.

BC2 is just an awesome game and is many moons ahead of MW2 for online playability.

I used to get wound up playing MW2 due to a number of factors – mainly teamwork, glitches and more.

BC2 is much better as i’ve not experienced any glitch whatsoever AND I don’t really care how often i die in the game. It more fun, if you die – you get revived by your own team mates (medic) and you control vehicles – which upto a certain extent give you an advantage but still doesn’t mean that you’ll win if you use vehicles.

It is a much more balanced game!! With the new addon – I will pay my hard earned money without hesitation whereas with MW2 I refused to pay the money due to how expensive it was, with all the malarky of Activision and how bad it is at maintaining a good level of playability.

Co-op, Multiplayer of BC2 just rules.

I’ve experienced a few glitches, but nothing major. And you can easily dominate with a vehicle if you got people constantly repairing you. I like to be a gunner in a tank and when vehicle damage is high, I pop out and start repairing. Fighting another tank? I stay outside and repair as long as the tank war lasts. I just wish more people fought like that lol.

The greatest thing BFBC2 does is reward teamwork. I’ve probably racked more points with teamwork than I ever did solo. With the UAV, I constantly spot for my team, and fire only upon heavy vehicles and nodes in Rush. Unless I’m getting fired at, in which case, I shoot at the guy shooting me, but I usually fly away until their tag on me disappears (which I just guess on)
