Pretty decent week this week. Sorry for the delay, what, with Red Dead Redemption being out this week as well
. Anyway, the ModNation Racers demo is available this week. Definitely worth checking out, as it allows you to test out the creation tools and everything (creations can’t be used in the race, but there is supposedly a future patch for the game that will allow you to use your saved demo creations in the full game, though). The next episode of Sam and Max is also out this week, and with that, part 2 of my review of the Devil’s Playhouse will be forthcoming, so keep an eye out for that. There’s also a handful of other demos available as well, including the new Tiger Woods game, Rocket Knight and Iron Man 2.
In add-ons, the SPECACT packs are available for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Darkspawn Chronicles for Drag Age is up as well. And if you’re into cheapening your experience, you can purchase an unlock for Split/Second that opens up all the tracks and modes. Besides that, you can pick up the echochrome soundtrack and a collection of nature-inspired dynamic themes that released in the EU a few weeks back. The US also has a large collection of new trails and videos as well.

Am I the only one who thinks that Rocket Knight is $5 to expensive?

sure seems it to me, but then I’ve no nostalgic investment in the franchise. demo seemed like a perfectly serviceable platformer, but nothing I’m willing to shell out $15 for.

When a game gets into the $15 they might as well go all the way and add more levels and charge $20 so we can at least get a platinum out of it.
This week I got the echochrome soundtrack bundle and the included demo is just great. 1,000 levels and 19 tracks for $4.99!
