Red Dead Redemption for the PS3 is full of cheaters. The majority of these cheaters are either French or Mexican. In just about every match you will find someone using a modified controller, aimbot, rapid fire, glitches, and several other hardware and software hacks. These are some of the known cheaters on PS3.

yeah I agree totally. The instant death and lack of struggling, etc. from others when you/they drown was a bit disappointing, and could have been easily added to fix it (i'm not totally against drowning in water, but the drowning has to have some substance to it)

The multiplayer is awesome, but at the same time I am still disappointed. The gang hideouts and hunts and random shootouts are fun, but they don't have longevity. I don't get excited about building my character, and making it farther, and beating a bigger boss like I do with a good MMO. Also, a good MMO has thousands of people on a server, while this game seems to put about ten people per server.

The structured competitive modes are great and have unique qualities, but they still are fairly similar to other multiplayer competitive shooters.

I was also disappointed that when rolling a hogtied victim into a river, the victim just silently vanishes without any visible/audible feedback of drowning.

I experienced several of the glitches that you did. The disconnects seemed to go away, but all the servers seem to have very low populations which I suspect is a technical problem since there is definitely not a lack of players.

Great new additions to the post as well.

And the game is still completely amazing overall, despite the gripes.

Enzio in Assassins Creed 2 gets to swim in water... when wearing heavy armor even. RDR isn't as bad as Dragon Age:Origins when it comes to water. In DA:O you can't even walk through a puddle, you're forced to walk around it. Things like that take me out of the game a bit, just feels out of place like it's a mistake.
