I watched the Disney Nature Earth and suddenly became a big fan of nature stuff. It seems the Oprah version is really bad, I wouldn’t want someone to treat me as a 10 years old while watching a movie or video that is mainly made for adult. I think I love David Attenborough voice since I played the Metal Gear Solid game like 12 years ago. BTW, I just ordered the Planet Earth Blu-ray set (David’s version) for a extreme good price ($27 Brand new).[might take a week or 2 to get here] Looking forward to enjoy the videos.

I bought a DVD box set about a year ago that included Planet Earth, The Blue Planet, The Life of Mammals and The Life of Birds. It appears that the BBC re-cut the four DVDs to produce a new product. I say this because I recognize all the footage from the clips that I found online. This is not new footage.
No matter which DVD set you buy, you will not be disappointed.

when I get the money, I’ll be sure to pick up both Life and Planet Earth (yes, I still need to get Planet Earth lol). And yeah, Oprah did read it like a childrens story book, and was a big disappointment, but I paid more attention to the actual content as opposed to the narration anyway lol

Can anyone tell me if this new DVD is significantly different from The Life of Mammals and The Life of Birds? Or is it the compilation of the two DVDs into a single new release.
BTW, you’ll have to travel far and wide to find someone who can come remotely close to David Attenbrough as narrator. I’ll bet Oprah bought the Attenborough version.
