In what has been a long time coming, I sure hope Polyphony is finally comfortable with their game to the point that we won’t have to wait another 5 years or so for a new title. Given that, though, and watching the new E3 trailer, it’s looking like the wait may finally be worth it. To put it bluntly, it’s beautiful. They even fixed the ghost scream tires it seems.
There will be a standard version, and a collector’s edition, as detailed here:
Gran Turismo doesn’t cut corners, and neither does this Collector’s Edition. It’s packed full of must-have items that were picked and designed for true car lovers: an exclusive 1:43 scale diecast Nissan GT-R Spec V, an in-depth 300-page car guide, a GT-branded key chain, a voucher for five (5) DLC cars, and a numbered certificate of authenticity, all housed in stylish, premium packaging. And you get all that for $99.99 MSRP.
Sounds like quite a package, but ‘meh’ on the car. I’d like something more Jay-style. A muscle car perhaps? Anyway, the game will release on November 2nd, 2010 in North and South America. And it sounds like the date is set in stone this time.
