The E3 reveal of Twisted Metal may have been one of the few surprises left from Sony that hadn’t managed to be leaked to the masses in some shape or form before the big event. Even though David Jaffe denied that a new Twisted Metal was in development for the PS3 on several occasions, we’ve learned from Jaffe’s twitter account that the game has actually been in development for the pass 18 months.
It’s also been confirmed that the game won’t feature any Move or 3D support because “3D has to be 60 frames and we are not. We are gonna be rock solid stable but not 60. Move and Twisted don’t seem a great fit.” Jaffe stated.
Twisted Metal’s first PS3 outing is expected sometime in February 2011.
