Another Red Dead Redemption Chronicle…
Posted by Demerson in Off-Topic, Red Dead Redemption on June 23rd, 2010
… or Texas Shoot’em!

Times were tough in New Austin, and I was really short on actual. Hunting animals was not profitable, and all the outlaws vanished from the town. Heck, I need to buy some tobaccos, my dead eye is literally dead.
So what a cowboy would do? I decided to gamble, that should be the easiest way to earn some cash. I rode my horse from Thieves Landing to Escalera, where it was said the poker tables were good source of money from dumb Federales.
That was a hell of a ride, but I finally managed to arrive before sunset. Thanks to my new horse, the old one put me down in a cactus plant and I had to shoot him in the head. Well, a horse is a horse, that’s what they say.
I entered the saloon, and I was acock by the flannel mouths surrounding the abandons. Since I was interested in money, I went straight to the poker room.
New Final Fantasy Versus XIII Info and Scans
Posted by Eddie in Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Media on June 23rd, 2010
From the new Dengeki/Famitus, we have gotten some new screen shots and info on FFXIII Versus. It is confirmed to be shown at TGS this year so I can’t wait!
- All the screenshots in the interview are captured from the game running in real time.
- The movement of the clouds in the game are controlled by the physics engine in the game.
- The game employs an open field concept, so you can travel anywhere except into mountains.
- The encounter system is a mix of random and visible encounters?
- Battles are seamless. The only loading in the game will occur when moving between very large areas. They’re aiming for the ultimate in seamlessness.
- Objects along the paths of roads can be destroyed.
- Most people will not believe their eyes when they see the high quality of the battles in motion.
- The staff are highly motivated now.
- There will still be improvements and more polish on the visuals made, the visuals in the screens are the game running at the moment.
- You’ll be able to use a car as promised. You can exit it and move on foot at any time as well.
- Enemies will be visible on the field, and while some enemies are wandering around, others will suddenly appear and surprise you. (This clarifies what the random and visible comment meant, and it also confirms that game will be similar to FFXII in that sense.)
- Nomura says they’re planning for a big unveiling of Versus at some point, but he doesn’t really give any deadline for it.
- There will be some announcements at TGS of titles which have not been revealed at all yet.
More screens after the jump.

DC Universe Online Price Details
Posted by Demerson in DC Universe Online, Featured on June 22nd, 2010

Sony Online Entertainment just revealed that in addition to the $60 you will pay for the purchase of DC Online Universe, there will be a monthly subscription fee of $15. A lot of people (including me) were eager to put their hands on this title. I personally think that this strategy was well known, since all MMO players are used to it, but I was expecting special subscriptions for the launch date.
Now, I hope this won’t scare players. It’s tough to be a hero or even a villain nowadays…

Prepare to Battle – Onslaught Mode Due To Hit Your Consoles
Posted by Madagasca in Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, PLAYSTATION Store, PS3, PS3 Slim, Trophies, Xbox 360 on June 22nd, 2010

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 geeks are going to be in for a treat today and tomorrow as DICE release their eagerly awaited Onslaught Mode. The new mode is due to hit the US today (22nd June) with Europe getting a taste of the action tomorrow (23rd June).
With the price of the mode expected to be around $9.99 (US) and 8.99 Euros, I’m sure fans of the franchise will pull out their wallet blindfolded to pay for the expansion pack. The new mode is to be a 4-player co-op mode facing waves of computer controlled enemies. If you think you’re just going to spawn, run around like a lunatic and shoot everything that moves – think again!
The maps which will feature this mode are Valpariso, Atacama Desert, Isla Innocentes and Nelson Bay. This feature is sure to keep you busy for quite some time until the much talked about Vietnam pack hits the BC2 store this Winter.
Soldiers – at ease!
