Little Big Planet 2 and Final Fantasy XIV Collector’s Editions

It’s good to see that companies like Sony and Square-Enix are beginning to realize that Americans love lots of collector’s items packed in their games as much as Japanese gamers do. Let’s just hope that companies continue to do so.
Let’s begin with Little Big Planet 2 first which has been announced to be released on November 16 at select retailers at $79.99. They are also stressing that it’s going to be a limited run. The collection will include:
- A copy of Little Big Planet 2
- A set of Little Big Planet 2 book ends or “game ends”
- A 7” Sackboy plushie
- One stop shop for DLC + more- and in regards to in-game content, the Collector’s Edition comes with 11 different pre-order costumes that includes (which can also be received in the regular release version, in different combinations, depending on where you pre-order the game):
- Disney / Pixar’s Toy Story 3’s “Aliens” Sackboy Costume
- Disney’s TRON: Legacy “Clu” Sackboy Costume
- The Muppets’ “The Great Gonzo” Sackboy Costume
- PlayStation’s “Ratchet” Sackboy Costume

Rockstar targets Red Dead Redemption cheaters in the next title update

Rockstar is working on an update to deal with the rampant cheating in their popular western game, Red Dead Redemption. Due to arrive next month, the next title update will include measures to counter hacking and cheating. According to Rockstar:
“Those who have been detected to be cheating beyond a shadow of doubt will be promptly banned from the Red Dead online world for a period of our discretion.”
“Additionally, the title update will provide some anti-grief relief with some new features in Free Roam. Those who are being bullied repeatedly in Free Roam will be given the option to flee by Transporting and respawning in a region of the map of their choosing. And those who are bullying repeatedly will face a new challenge: when a player gets a 6 kill streak in Free Roam, they will become “Most Wanted.” This alerts other players of their status as a player-killer, and also sends NPC law response after them. Expect that we’ll continue to monitor the lay of the land and fight the good fight via future title updates to make sure everyone’s multiplayer experience is as fair and as fun as can be.”
More info about the new update as well as the next DLC, Legends and Killers, is expected in the coming weeks, stay tuned.

Big Guns, Big Heads
We are glad to announce that PS3Blog.net will be holding its 5th Red Dead Redemption game night. And this week we’d really like ya’ll to join in the fun..
On Saturday July 24th from 8:30PM EST -11:00PM EST or later, Sinlock and Demerson will be co-hosting an evening of Bushwacking and Horse theft.
This week 100 points will be awarded to all players. And those that bring extra life to the game will recive bonus points. Be it by shooting skills, dying skills, antics, teamwork, or anything we deem to be cool. Awards will be in the form of Blog Points. If there is someone who puts their best foot forward and really blows us away they will recive a special prize thats a bit more tangible in form of a PS3Blog.net Tee Shirt.
We’d also like to hear your thoughts on the Game Nights we have had so far. So chime in and tell us what you like as well as the things your not so fond of.
At 8:30 Sinlock will host a Pre-game in Public Free Roam to get you warmed up and to help others earn any Trophies they might want.
At 9:00PM the Official game will begin, We will move to a Private Free Roam game that will be invite only*. We’ll do a mix of Free Roam and Co-Op.
At 10:00PM Things get personal with Gang match ups, Free for all, Gold rush, Grab the bag, and other ways of killing your fellow man.
Additions to the Marvel vs Capcom 3 Roster

New fighters are revealed for the 3rd installment of Marvel vs Capcom. Chun-li and Dr. Doom are some of the familiar players weve used before. Chun-li being a Street Fighter regular and Dr. Doom was in the first and second Marvel vs Capcom games.
New to the game is Super-Skrull which has the combined power of the Fantastic Four, and Trish from Devil May Cry.
