If any of you have ever had the chance to play Diablo, or Diablo II on the PC, you’d know how epic it would be to have something like that on the PS3. I think a game like Torchlight would fit the bill. Now this game wasn’t created by Blizzard, but it was created by some of the bright minds who used to work there so they have tons of experience building these type of games. Don’t believe me? Check out the video:
I mean just look at that video. What more could you ask for from a fully featured character leveling system, randomized dungeons, hordes of monsters, and gobs of great loot. What’s more is this game is only $20, so all that for $20? Who do I give my Credit Card Number too, and when is this game hitting the PSN? Well see that’s were the problem lies. Runic Games is trying to keep the studio small, so currently there are about 32 employees or so. I had a brief chat with one of the employees on Twitter last night and received the following when I asked about a PS3 version:
We think about that all the time. We’re not the team to do it though – that’s where it gets tricky!
With having a small team, working on Torchlight II, I can see why they would have a problem with something like this. I am sure they could work with SONY or someone else to get this party started though. I guess for now, we can only hope.
