The Ubisoft Game That Never Was

Video and images of a canceled Ubisoft PS3 title has made it’s way onto Youtube this week. The game was called Gorilla Nation, an intense third-person shooter set in London during the year 2032. In the game, humans and machines co exist but judging by the short trailer, things weren’t too peaceful  between the two.

Even though there is no actual gameplay of Gorilla Nation, the target render of the game is really impressive. No word on why Ubisoft canned this game but a lot of titles announced early on for the PS3 never saw the light of day.

Still, Gorilla Nation looked like it had some potential.

Well, a new IP this late in the game is almost suicide since sales have to be pretty high to make up the initial investment so maybe that’s why?

That does look pretty cool. Ubisoft are really hit and miss though so it may not have turned out great.
