So I’ve been following this game since this past E3. There have been several trailers released for this game and they looked pretty good. I am not sure if I am going to get a chance to test this one out but it seems like this game has a pretty big following. If I am not mistaken it has several books and a movie coming out as well, so this is a great time for it. Now this game is going to debut exclusively on the PSN today, but for those of you who might want to get this on the console which shall not be named, you will just have to wait a little longer.

The music is reason enough to get the game. $10 isn’t that much for all the “awesome” you get in return.

I’m not sure about the movie that’s coming out under this title but the game looks pretty cool. It has a retro yet current feel to it from what I saw in the trailer.

If you don’t like the movie, but like the comic and the game, then you will love the animated shorts that are being produced.

The movie looks brilliant. It’s packed full of retro-gaming references.

I pre-ordered this for 8 bucks and I got a free Home T-Shirt too.
This game reminds me of river city ransom, minus the sushi bars.

I don’t get it — it’s supposed to like like a 16-bit, sprite-based SNES game? Looks worse than some of the Minis. We all have regressive fantasies, but I don’t necessarily need to game like I was ten again.

@SonicBoom: Should have pre-ordered at the Ubisoft site. Two dollars saved would go to some DLC or part of the cost of a discounted PSN game…
@premiersoupir: Download the demo and then tell us what you think. Sure, the retro might not be for everyone but for $9.99 you get a side scrolling beat-em up with an amazing soundtrack by Anamaguchi.

I tried the free demo and it makes me think of River City Ransom.
The movie looks pretty lame though.
