The wife dragged me up to the mall earlier for a fun filled afternoon of holding her purse and chasing the kid. As a reward, I got a few minutes in the local EB Games (Gamestop). I went ahead and cancelled a couple of pre-orders I had and put Sports Champions and the Navigation controller on pre-order.
While talking with the employees, the one that seemed to be the resident source of knowledge said that they’re not going to be flooding the market, so if there’s something I want that I should go ahead and pre-order it. I don’t know if this is standard fare when a highly anticipated item is going to be coming out or not. Could Sony try to keep supplies tight, ala the fabled Wii shortages of a few years ago, to keep demand up?

As long as they have mine I don’t really care. But you can never tell if they are just saying that as a marketing ploy or if SONY is really going to keep the supply tight.

I think it’s both marketing and CYA. Anything new they cant really guarantee, but they also want to get as many pre-orders as possible

All this cool stuff coming out at the same time! With money being tight, I think will wait until after the Christmas rush.
Trust me, I want it bad….even signed up with some “Have a party” website that was offering out PSMove parties. Didn’t get one. Now I get e-mails for Star Wars Clone Wars parties and all sorts of stuff I do not want to post pictures having fun with….

Well, usually all Gamestop’s tell you to pre-order but I’ll believe them in this case because we’re talking about new controllers releasing which are harder to make than the usual retail disc release.

That sounds like houseparty.com. That’s where I got my Move pack from. Sorry you didn’t get it. I know Subway is running a promotion right now.

Why does everything nowadays just has to be limited supplies?
