		<description>hrm, well it could be awful, no doubt about it. but as I recall duke 3d, and this may be through the rosy lens of remembrance, it was quite a canny parody of a particular strain of american popular cultural machismo in the mold of rambo or die hard. so in retrospect, the evil dead references make perfect sense. a new duke could be terribly exploitative, or it could provide delightful critical commentary on a new generation of media. who might provide a fitting model for this generation&#039;s duke? it&#039;s not going to happen, but I&#039;d love to see duke qua jack bauer. terrorists, chemical weapons, and torture that&#039;s *always* justifiable. could be cathartic if played for laughs.</description>
