Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD Versions Confirmed

This week’s issue of Famitsu spoiled a few secrets that were being saved for the Tokyo Game Show, which kicks off  on Thursday in Japan.

The magazine confirmed that HD remastered versions of Team Ico’s PS2 classics, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were indeed coming to the PS3 but unlike reports in the states and abroad the two games were listed separately. This could mean that Sony will be selling the games separately in Japan and as a collection elsewhere. We’ll most likely get clarification about that in a couple of days.

Also in the magazine was a 2 page spread filled with new images of Team Ico’s next project for the PS3, The Last Guardian.

its expensive to get sent from japan…i’ve looked into it…besides we would get it AFTER the news hit the net (reason I don’t subscribe to any magazine anymore).

I missed out on these games on the PS2…so i’m looking forward to this.

Just re-read that and it would be weird if Sony tried to charge $30 per game as a separate release, specially with the GoW and Sly collections selling for $40 with 2-3 games each.

I swear if they don’t make this move compatible I’m gonna toss my PS3 off of the closest high rise building! I’m being facetious of course but seriously…c’moooooon!

If they do release in US/PAL regions as a collection, I’m sold. Otherwise, I’ll see how much they go for before I fork out for them.

We’ll probably see more about this on Sony’s press conference tonight. Given that, this would be a really cool collection to have. Shadow of the Colossus was amazing awesome (seriously, I had to get it after I played the demo; the concept of the puzzles being the Colossi themselves was great), but I’ve never played Ico
