Sonic Adventure Coming to PSN

Sonic Adventure is coming to the PlayStation Network Store on September 22nd for £6.29/€7.99. A High Definition remaster (with trophies) of the Dreamcast launch game from 11 years ago, Sonic Adventure’s re-release is something of a celebration/reminder of sorts that there has barely been a better Sonic game since then…

This Dreamcast classic has been digitally re-mastered with 720p graphics and Dolby® Digital Sound so that players can experience it for the first time in HD. Step into the shoes of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and the whole gang, and take on the forces of Dr. Eggman

Lets hope this is the start of more Dreamcast re-releases like Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio and Power Stone etc..

I believe a few months ago Sega said they were going to release a bunch of Dremcast games on XBL and PSN, and I think Crazy Taxi was also one of them, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the other two were to make it as well.

I’m really excited about this I had a Dreams and loved it. sold it due to not having games made for it anymore. Let’s hope they keep the games coming.

    So, no trophies then?

@EdEN All games on PS3 have to release with trophy support, so yes it does. Will update the article to mention them.

@Trev: It would seem that way but I also remember Sony said all DLC had to contain trophies as well and Assassin’s Creed 2 skipped that rule… twice.

haven’t heard that before myself. but there hasn’t been a game without trophies since sony said this with the exception of a couple grandfathered in.

Looks brilliant, Sonic Adventure was a great game, I bought a Dreamcast just to play it back in 99. Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio were just really really good bonuses. 🙂

I went back and played it a few months ago and I do hope they can fix the controls and the camera a bit though.

Wow I didn’t actually realise this was already out…I thought the trailer implied coming soon! Reviews haven’t been kind, 3.5 on IGN…harsh. Basically they haven’t fixed what I mentioned above and it hasn’t aged well.

But what are we going to save our Choa pet things on?

Ugh… it hasn’t been digitally remastered at all. It may use your TV’s 720p mode, but it’s running in a window with massive borders at the sides, and lesser borders at the top and bottom. It looks horrendous! Also, it’s not the Dreamcast version, but the shabby PC version, running in an emulator.

    Bad Sega.

I will not be buying Crazy Taxi if this is to be the standard.
