Explodemon! Debut Trailer | PS3Blog.net

Besides the prototype trailers and the like, this is the first official trailer for the upcoming PSN game, Explodemon! It seems the whole premise is to blow yourself up throughout the levels to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, etc. Here’s what Curve Studios had to say about the title:

An explosive homage to SNES-era platformers mixed with a modern physics-puzzle twist, Explodemon is non-stop action mayhem like you’ve never seen before. But don’t take our word for it: check out the brand new trailer to see the first footage of the game in action.

Featuring athletic feats of aerial nimbleness, sizzling combo-laden combat, and a dash of physics puzzles, the trailer will give you a small-but-perfectly-formed taster of what will definitely be this winter’s most explosive PSN release.

Looks interesting, but I’m not sure I much care for the time freeze when you come into contact with an objective/enemy.

Looks like its definately gonna be interesting!

  • Its really good to see that the addition of internet and DLC to consoles is really taking off in a very interesting and entertaining way and I never would have guessed that it would spawn a whole new genre of games. A genre that shows that companys don’t always have to make multi-million dollar blockbusters to make a really exciting and fun gaming experience. That we as gamers can really enjoy nostalgia enducing games, games that are very similar to the games that alot of us thirty somethings have grown up playing. I’m really enjoying the creativity that is coming from companys that are working on these smaller downloadable PSN titles and I realy hope that even more creative titles continue to be released. By the way, what is the name of this new genre?

I’ve been thinking alot lately about how good the last couple of years have been for gaming and I can’t remember a time in the last twenty five years of playing video games that have even come close. There has never been a time quite like this where so many amazing games are being produced. I have had so many games to play the last two years that I can’t even keep up. I have so many games right now that I’m working on that I have actually had to start a rotation to try to be able to play most of them and I don’t even have half of the games that I want right now because I can’t afford them all. It completely amazes me that through one of the worst recessions since the great depression, gaming is still going strong and I couldn’t be happier. I just wish I had more freaking time to play them all!

It’s been a while since this game was initially announce so I guess it might release in a month or so at the latest.
