Check out modnation’s new artist spotlight
Posted by White-Sharingan in ModNation Racers, PS3 on September 27th, 2010
We’ve seen plenty of videos of ModNation’s “artist spotlight”, where people like Kevin Butler, Ted Price and David Jaffe “create” their own version of a track and character(s) in ModNation Racers. The new artist spotlight is none other than Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital and creator/producer of the legendary Gran Turismo franchise. You would think they would of done this months ago, since he is the perfect candidate for this spotlight.

“Space Invaders: Infinity Gene” PS3Blog Review
There are few of us that remember “Space Invaders” being released on arcade back in June of 1978, as most of us here probably were not even born yet however there are even fewer of us that are not aware of the classic title that went on to be a foundation for video games for years to come.
Game developer Taito (the company that brought us the original in 1978) and owner Square-Enix have joined together to bring us this new PSN title dubbed “Space Invaders: Infinity Gene”.
A revamped, techno’d classic retro game with a quite a few changes and upgrades for nostalgic fans and younger curious gamers alike.
Rumor: Tom Clancy Boxset and Rayman Trilogy HD/3D Remakes Also On the Way
Posted by Eddie in Backwards Compatibility, PS3 on September 27th, 2010
JeuxVideo is reporting yet another collection of PS2 games that are supposed to be coming to the PS3 in 3D and/or HD. This time around is a Tom Clancy Boxset and a Rayman Trilogy.
It seems Sony is really picking up speed with these collections and there seems to be a nice market for the games as well. Are we accepting these only because BC has been removed and this is our only option or are we really glad to see classics remade with trophies in HD? I’m not particularly sure myself, but I am pretty eager to see the Team Ico Collection come out as I missed it on the PS2.
Titles Release/Anncounced/Rumored so far:
Splinter Cell Collection
Team Ico Collection
Prince of Persia Collection
Rayman Collection
Sly Cooper Collection
Mortal Kombat Collection
Tom Clancy Collection
God of War Collection
It looks like the standard pricing for these will be $30-$40 when they do get released.
What collections would you like to see made?

Stranger’s PS3 Model is Vastly Improved
Posted by Jay in Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath on September 26th, 2010
Not too long ago, it was officially announced that the Oddworld XBox exclusive title, ‘Stranger’s Wrath’, will be heading to the PS3 next year. I’ve always wanted to play it, but never got around to even renting it unfortunately. Anyway, the developer, Just Add Water, has recently unveiled the updated model for the title character, Stranger.
The model is a jump from the original polygon count of 3,000 to 20,000, using newer rendering techniques like bump mapping, as well as, of course, updated textures. One thing to note, though, the PS3 model is almost on-par with the 529,000 polygon CGI model (at first glance, you can’t really see the difference). Hopefully we’ll see the same kind of work done to the rest of the game!
Blade Kitten Review from IGN
Posted by EdEN in Blade Kitten, PSN, QuickNews on September 26th, 2010
A review is up for Blade Kitten and I have to say that it is not a good score given at the end. Maybe the game is not for everyone, but such a low score does feel weird, especially when, at some points, it seems the reviewers only spent an hour or two with this release. I’ll try out the demo and see how it goes.
