Uncharted 3 – World of Deceit Rumor (Update – Not Real, Info Below) | PS3Blog.net

Turns out that this art work has no affiliation with Naughty Dog and that the work is that of Albert Ng’s personal collection. Here is what he had to say.

*NOTICE* I hope to clarify some recent misunderstandings that this work here was and is presumed to be concept work done for the new upcoming Uncharted 3 property for Naughty Dog and Sony, but as stated on the bottom of the post several months ago, this was a project done for an architecture class and has no affiliation with Naughty Dog and their Uncharted series. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Click on the link below to see the original story and images before we found out that this was not the real Uncharted 3.

Does it exist or does it not? There is a long line of detectives out there that are looking into this right now but what we do know for sure is that Amazon.fr has officially listed Uncharted 3 – World of Deceit.

Quickly people pointed out that the name and artwork that is floating around belongs to Albert Ng a concept artist. When he posted this concept art and name, he claimed it was for an architecture class.

Well now Playstationlifestyle.net has dug even further to find out that Albert Ng works for a company called Tyler West Studio in which is described as a conceptual arts studio that works on AAA titles for many studios including Sony.

There is a long line of far fetched coincidences that need to be true for this to happen, but if any of this is true, then we can expect an announcement pretty soon for one of the most anticipated titles this generation.

The only thing I see wrong with this whole picture is that Albert Ng posted this back in March, I believe, so its odd that people are just now seeing it and saying it could be real.

  1. Uncharted 2 is an amazing game, multiplayer is still a blast. Love to see what they come up with for the 3rd game!

  2. So hypothetical…..lets say these are legit.

We see Ganesha in the background of these images. What treasure could he be hunting for in India?

  3. doesn’t seemed to be tied to a grand scale historic adventure such as Sir Francis Drake and Marco Polo though.

    • This is true mmmmm what else.

  4. Maybe if hes in India he’s hunting those stones from Temple of Doom lol

  5. Alexander the Great and the Koh I Noor diamond?

  6. Zombies? Just saying thats been a big thing in recent games.

  7. Yeah think I saw something on psu.com where they had an Uncharted 3 rumor. Something about a middle eastern company posting something about it.

  8. I hope U3 will be awesome like the other two!

  9. Not sure how crazy it will be, Uncharted was great, Uncharted 2 was outstanding. The graphics, multiplayer and story line were great. The only thing that Uncharted 3 can bring, and this is only what I think is another great story line. I really doubt they can make the game look any better than Uncharted 2.

  10. The thing is, does it need to look better than Uncharted 2?

I would happily take an Uncharted 3 that used a slightly updated UC2 engine. Give me a new story with Nate, Elena and Sully, and I’m in!

    Just a thought…
we recently heard that ND are working on new story DLC for Uncharted 2. Could it be a Valve/Portal scenario where they add new DLC which links into an announcement for Uncharted 3?

  11. When did Valve create a portal scenario DLC which linked to a different game?

  12. I was referring more to Valve changing little things in Portal, through a patch, to lead into the upcoming release of Portal 2. Saying perhaps ND could do a similar thing to bridge UC2 into UC3.

  13. I was referring more to Valve changing little things in Portal (and the ending), through a patch, to lead into the upcoming release of Portal 2. Saying perhaps ND could do a similar thing to bridge UC2 into UC3.

  14. sucks that its not real…perhaps Naughty Dog should hire this guy.
