Sony’s ‘PlayStation Rewards’ Will Be in Beta Starting October 28th | PS3Blog.net
Well, look at that! Sony has decided to start Beta testing a new loyalty program for it’s users: Playstation Rewards. Initially, Sony has decided to use as guinea pigs all of it’s US PlayStation Plus and Gamer Advisory Panel (GAP) users (that have opted in for marketing as of October 24th) and thus, those of us with our subscriptions up to date will soon get an invite into the Beta so Sony can start getting an idea of how to do this and what exactly it is that we want out of a rewards-for-loyalty program.
To start things off, you’ll be placed into the Selected (Entry) Level and the more you participate, the higher your chances are of getting up to the Pro and Legendary statuses. Sony will also be sending surveys your way every once in a while so you can get recognized for your feedback. Everything kicks off in October 28, so if you are thinking about buying something from the PSN Store, are in the mood to remodel your PS Home space, or think your avatar is in need of a serious makeover be sure to wait until you’re registered for the program to start winning! What? What can you win? Glad you asked:
- Exclusive PSN avatars that display member status in the program
- Exclusive dynamic themes and PlayStation Home content
- Opportunities throughout the program year to participate in members-only sweepstakes and giveaways for experiences and merchandise you won’t find elsewhere (The first of which is an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, as PlayStation’s guest)
So, what do you think about Sony’s new program?
