Some says that PlayStation Plus isn’t worth it, some say that they are still waiting to see if the service will even be worth the $50 a year. I am not sure how people can think it’s not worth it? I signed up when it first came out and have received more than my months worth. Next week SONY is continuing that trend by giving us another 3 FREE games, those being Shatter, Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus and DYNOGEMS which is a Mini.
Now I can understand people stating hey you paid $50 so it’s not free, but come on since I paid the $50 I have received a bunch of games which if I added up, are over the $50 I paid.
Besides the 3 games there are a few other things that are going to be included next week.

Almost bought Exodus when it was 50% off so that was close. Other than that I love the service and would have bought a second year (plus 3 free months) already if the system allowed for it.

I’m happy that you’re getting your money’s worth.
Myself I find the service to be disappointing. They’re offering mostly old (LBP, Abe, Crash Bandicoot for example) or poor games that I could have fun with for free, but would never consider buying. The themes and whatnot are mostly fillers. Then there’s the ever-present region oppression: Poland doesn’t get Qore even though we have to pay the same amount of money for Plus. I know this is not really a Plus issue, but it still pisses me off.
All in all, I haven’t seen one game to date (that I didn’t already own) that would justify the expense for me, and on top of that i still can’t have Qore. This blows.

I agree with people that bought the service and are getting the games that they might have bought a while back. I don’t care much for Abe since it’s a really really old game but Shatter is something I am happy I didn’t buy.
I can totally understand why your pissed for having to pay the same price yet your not even getting Qore or another feature. It’s like Sprint charging you the extra $10 for service here for 4G even though they are still rolling it out and a bunch of places didn’t have it.

I feel that some of the games like Shatter can be more entertaining than some of the $50-$60 games.

What confuses me is why would people ever think they were going to get new games for free? That just doesn’t make sense.
Shatter is an amazing game btw.

@Eddie: Eventually a new release will creep up at a discount on PSN as was the case with the Push Demo for Lara croft and the Guardian of Light or at a discount proper like the Alien something remake.

I’m very much doubting it unless it comes from a Sony studio. No other dev is going to give up a chance to make money in the prime of a game. Nor can they accurately track the sales data. Its just not going to happen and people who expected it to happen are asking for a little much imo.

Eddie might be onto something here, unless SONY is going to subsidize the cost I don’t see a DEV coming out and saying oh yeah here take my game that I and the 2 or 4 other guys worked on for 6 months or however long and give us a smaller amount. It can happen but the Indie is taking a big risk in doing that.
