Treyarch Reveals Call Of Duty Black Ops Patch Notes For PS3 Version

  • Should have given him a Barney Bandaide

  • Hopefully they get them out relatively quickly. It’s one thing to identify problems, its another to actually fix them. The party system and matchmaking are god awful.

  • Well based on how quickly they rolled out the PC performance patch I’d guess that it shouldn’t be too long before the PS3 issues are patched as well

Well this is all funny! I thought this game had “Dedicated servers, and tehre was no need for hosts.”

  • You’re thinking of the PC version, the console version is still P2P

The reason that pc updated faster than the xbox or ps3 versions is because of the approval system. Pc is open. The console version has to be certified by Sony BEFORE it can go out over the PSN. That adds a week at the least to the patch time.

  • Are you sure Steam doesn’t have to ok it for PC? but even so a week isn’t sooo bad 🙂

  • Note that the framerate issues are due to your long friends list. Create an alternate account or prune your friends list to get a better framerate. That’s because the game polls the servers for every friend on your list to get info about them. “SoAndSo just unlocked the Galil.” etc.
