Prince of Persia Games To Release Separately on PSN

It seems that while Europe will get a proper Bluray disc release of the original Prince of Persia Trilogy in 720p and with added 3D effects, we over here have to make do with separate PSN releases of each of the games. The first game in the trilogy will actually release today once the PSN Store update is available (who knows at what time) for only $14.99. Now, the games on the Bluray disc are each supposed to have a platinum trophy and we all know that games on PSN only have a platinum when they release at an original price of $19.99 or more so it will be interesting to see what will happen once the game goes live.

The other two games in the trilogy, Warrior Within (a game some didn’t really like) and The Two Thrones (better than the second, not as good as the first), will be available as well on the PSN Store for $14.99  but we’ll have to wait for December to come around.

So, is this the right way to go or are they trying to get an extra $5 out of us? For me the Bluray disc would have been a better option because my HDD is pretty much full right now. Also, Ubisoft now has to convince people to spend $15 on the 2nd and 3rd entries of the series.

I’ll wait until the games are on sale next year since I don’t buy digital games at full retail on PSN.
