Yes, us Canadians have it tough. First we have to ride our polar bears to school and then we had to wait for the video store only to get a mediocre selection of shows and movies.

All PS3 users, so I assume so. ;D

Netflix is great for Americans wanting to catch up on there TV shows or old movies. Not as great for Canadians, imo anyway. Soooo many shows and even really old movies are not available to us. Really old, good movies. *cry*

the price for rentals and purchases are pretty much on par with other similar services, including the PS3 video store.

And since this is third party, it would be harder to strike a deal to make things cheaper for PS+ subscribers anyway.

EDIT: also of note, you might be able to view your purchases/rentals on other devices as well (such as the PC or any other VUDU device), assuming it runs off an account system, in which it looks like it does.

@Luke you're right, free is a bit exaggerated (one can dream).. but Sony could make a deal with vudu (or other content providers) and give PSN+ members a better price, making it more attractive to buy a Plus membership.

@Legion213 “I’ll wait for it be available on Netflix.” You’ll be waiting for a while. Netflix gets a lot of their bigger movies later then the actual DVD release date for stores and then it still takes time for the movie to be available, since there’s always a “Long Wait”. And, the instant streaming movies have been junk lately.

As for the digital download service on the PS3 and now VUDU, its great if your just trying to rent a movie for the evening… But if your paying $19.99, you might as well just buy the blu-ray.
