Mark Wahlberg to Play Nathan Drake in Uncharted Movie

mwLast month, Sony had signed David O. Russel as the director for the Uncharted movie. Now the more pressing question is, who’s playing Nathan Drake? For those still hoping it’ll be Nate’s voice actor, Nolan North, you’d be a bit disappointed. Sony has already cast an actor, and he’s not among the popular picks on the internet.

If you’ve been following the Hollywood scene, then yes,Mark Wahlberg has indeed confirmed that he will be playing the wisecracking treasure hunter in the movie based on the Uncharted games. Wahlberg and Russel have just worked together in “The Fighter”, which hits theaters in the US this December.

Wahlberg also confirmed rumors that Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro may have roles in the film.

Worst actor ever, did we not learn anything from Max Payne. He can’t act this movie sounds like its going down faster than Igby (movie humor). Mark Wahlberg also stated that what David O. Russel has planned for Uncharted is insane, so again it looks like a repeat of Max Payne. I hope I’m wrong…

The first game has enough story as to take it to the big screen as is but leave it to Hollywood to try and “change things for the best” so audiences can better relate to the characters.

I like Mark W as an actor. I think Max Payne was just a bad movie, nothing to do with him. I doubt anyone could have made that movie any good… Think they r going to make a second one. I hope they don’t screw this movie up.

Nathan F would have been a great actor for it. I can totally see him in Drakes role.

Lol, go go Marky Mark. He’s a decent actor imo and Uncharted seems to be a lot less over the top than Max Payne. But I’m going to have to agree… Max Payne sucked ><

    Feel the vibrations

First off…I like Mark Walberg……not for Nathan Drake though.

He is a great actor…but this might be pushing his limits lol.

One of my favorite movies is still The Big Hit lol.

Mark isnt the best look for Nathan I agree, but atleast he is better than Nathan Filler. Now he is a terrible actor on my opinion. Idk why he has so many fan boys. But atleast they are getting Big Budget actors do play in this film, we should be happy enough. Me for 1 am HAPPY!!!!

He did good in Shooter and RockStar, but I’m not 100% on him being Nathan Drake. He was good in The Other Guys, Showed his comic timing. So maybe just maybe he can pull off Uncharted.
