DCUniverse Off To A Big Start

According to Tweets made by Sony Online Entertainment ( SOE ) President John Smedley, the mmorpg set in the world of DC comics is in high demand. The game is selling out at most retailers with a larger than expected number of players, mainly in Europe, prompting SOE to launch new servers just days after the game was released for the PC and PS3. everyone ps3 and pc both have to pay subscriptions and on pc u can use a controller. life time subs only on pc for $200 and ps3 doesn’t have that option the game is doing well right now top seller on steam. PS3 version has had more in depth work than the pc. Graphics are good for PS3 and obviously PC is always superior in that way.

Yes, it’s a subscription based MMO. MMOs are subscription based because they release new content regularly.

I Beta tested the game and found it very enjoyable. Character creation is a blast. For example, you get to choose if you want to fly or have super speed. You push down on R3 (if I recall correctly) and your character can take off. I chose super speed and running up and down buildings is sooooo fun.

The environment is rich in detail and realistic. Gotham, Metropolis, the Justice League HQ (I forget what it’s called, The Watch Tower? I’m a Marvel fan hehe) they are all there in the game. All your favourite Super Heroes and Villains. All there as well.

I’m not surprised that the game is doing so well. Who doesn’t want to have super powers!?

It might not be my ideal kind of MMORPG, but we don’t have many to choose from on consoles. Will take a look when it releases…
