There has been some talk floating around on the internetz that some PS3 users are getting corrupted save files after playing Mass Effect 2. According to Chris Priestly the Community Manager this is caused by to many level transitions within a single gaming sessions. The workaround for now is to play a little, turn the game off, and then start it up again. He has also stated that a patch has already been submitted to SONY and is awaiting approval. Patch notes are below:

I really apreciate a fast placed patch.
But I still can’t find the game anywhere around here so I don’t really know how bad is the problem.
I hope when I get it it’s already patched tough.

Oh god, punishing the player for playing one’s game too much is strictly verboten! Don’t want to make the gamer feel like more of an unproductive, anti-social loser than s/he might already!

some said that it reset their entire ps3, not sure how real that is though.
