The Earth Defense Force games have always been about taking a soldier with weapons of unlimited ammo, with no time limit, and blasting away giant insects, spiders, alien mechs, and various aircraft. I also love how the bodies of the insects have no weight once killed, so they fling around as if launched from a rubber band.
