They are rolling out 1.08 right now, it is live in EU, dunno about the states, they are also working on servers. Maybe you have stumbled upon such a problem.

Bought the game two days ago and no sign of any patch. Keep getting signed out whenever I go on Killzone 3 and have to switch everything off before starting again. Can take many attempts just to get a game. Terrible stuff – wish developers would stop treating us like unpaid testers.

They mention that they merged stuff they were working on after 1.04 with the feedback that was from 1.04, and called it 1.06.
