Dreamcast Games I’d Like to See on PSN

Dreamcast LogoWith Sony and Sega bringing us Dreamcast titles, I thought I would bring up a few gems I would like to see come to PSN. The Dreamcast was one of the best consoles in its time and had many great games, the majority of which were overlooked. Here is a few I would like to see Sega bring to PSN.

#1. Record of Lodoss War

Think Diablo and you know exactly how this game plays. This was Hack and Slash at its finest when it was released. I don’t know of a lot of people who actually played it, or even knew of its release.

#2. Sword of the Berserk

This dude’s sword was BIG. Was also known as Guts Rage. The guy has a big sword and kills zombie-type bad guys, enough said. The screaming plants always made me laugh, and I found the over the top violence spot on with the Anime.

#3. Blue Stinger

Sega’s attempt at Resident Evil was met with opens arms. Blue Stinger was full of great story and gameplay. It played like a mix of Dead Rising and Resident Evil.

#4 Silver

When I think of this game, I can remember how amazing it looked at the time of its release. The combat and story were so polished. The Dreamcast had many RPG’s, but this one takes the cake.

Do you have any favorites? Do you even care about the Dreamcast titles on PSN?

Agree with all picks, specially since I didn’t get to play any of them on my Dreamcast.

Now, just as a warning, you HAVE to add a 5th game to your list since rules establish that all “top X” lists must include 5. 10, 15, 20, etc. games increasing by 5 the total of said list.

@Jay: Sure, but the top 3 is an exception to the rule since a top 6 or top 9 doesn’t not apply.

I never owned a Dreamcast so I’ve never heard of these games. Silver looks interesting though.

On a related note though, I’m saddened by how many awesome games are getting ported to phones and the Wii.

Never heard of any of those too…

At the time I believe I had SNES (since I’m not really sure on when is that).

    #1 seems cool.

I have Silver, it’s OK. The presentation sorta reminds me of FFVII.

Sword of the Berserk was AWESOME.

Sonic Adventure was my favourite Dreamcast game followed by Crazy Taxi. They’re both up on PSN already but neither have aged well…and Crazy Taxi they’ve completely got rid of the Offspring and Bad Religion soundtrack. :(

Ecco, Headhunter, and PSO would be very cool to see though.
