how about all those ppl that replaced their old 360s for new slims cuz of the RRoD and 3 years warranties, most of my friends did that.

it’s doubtful any production item will come out of the patent. I think they’re just securing the technology.

@Jason ya I was going to reference that attachment, I’m really really hoping that’s what they do. I don’t like the idea of new hardware coming out anytime soon. It’s inefficient. Not to mention all the best games come out near the end of a life cycle, so just give us an attachment for 100 bucks or something and I’ll buy it.

Sony signed a patent for an external cpu and ram device that is rumored to further the life of the PS3 and greatly increase its power so I dont expect to see a PS4 anytime soon. I bet Sony’s ban wave helped the sale go up. Xbox only remains high in sales due to bannings and pos hardware. Broke 7 myself and repaired over 80 when I was doing that sort of thing.

Well as long as people are enjoying their systems. Though I’m curious how they factor in console hardware failure, I.E. RRoD. Like if you sell 100 and 30 die, and they buy new ones, is it 130 now? Sounds fishy to me XD. “we sell lots!” “But your hardware has a high failure rate?” “So! More money and sale figures!”
