Capcom Announces Dragon’s Dogma |

Dragon’s Dogma is a new IP from the makers of Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. The open world RPG has been in development for over three years and boasts the largest development team in Capcom history.

“This is a game that I have wanted to make for many years,” states producer, Hiroyuki Kabayashi. “I’ve never felt that we had the technology in place to take on a project of this scale. Now, we have consoles powerful enough and a development team at Capcom knowledgeable enough to bring this vision to life.”

Dragon’s Dogma will feature three different classes, and giant enemies. Capcom promises over 30 hours of gameplay, with numerous side quests to embark on, and “a brand-new approach to multiplayer.” Look for it to release “early next year” on the PS3 and 360.

  • The game looks nice. Fortunately it doesn’t look like a japanese RPG.

Seems it’ll be worth to be on the look out for this. However, since its Capcom, I better not get my hopes too high.

  • This is not monster hunter but it looks excellent. Right up my alley!

  • hey hey…no dissing JRPG’s…

  • Oly

This trailer has definitely peaked my interest!!

  • Just found out that gamespot did a preview on the game (here).

A couple things left me not so excited:

1 – no leveling? I didn’t fully understand if that was a actual statement or more of a doubt.
2 – they’re not convinced the game will have enough non-story content and loot.

Those two things alone could ruin any RPG game. Hope they’re not facts.
