Bethesda has once again graced us with new screens from Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. They are all so good, that I am using them as a rotating desktop for Windows 7 on my PC. This game is going to be in the top releases of this year for sure.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, developed by Bethesda Game Studios, is the follow up to the 2006 Game of the Year, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Skyrim will be released for the PS3 on November 11, 2011.

The graphics are amazing! Morrowind was perfect for its time, Oblivion dropped the ball on character looks,(nothing the mods they have for it wouldnt fix) but other than that it was great.Still, this is just breath taking!

Im new the the RPG genre (just started ME2 on ps3 last nite) but its definitly a genre that i would like to play more of.

I’m loving the sceneries so far. Everything looks so pretty and not at all artificial (and I’m not talking about graphics, I mean the actual feel of the whole setting).
The previews I’ve read also seemed really impressive. This game will certainly leave a mark in gaming history. I hope it’s a good one , not one of a major let down.

It Sucks!!!!!
That we have to wait so long to get it. November seems like a life time away. At least I will have so many great games coming out in between now and then.

I’ve never played any of the Elder Scrolls games, in fact the only Bethesda game I’ve played was Fallout 3 (loved it BTW). This however, looks absolutely incredible. I’m very intrigued.
For the fans of the series, is this a series you can get into easily storywise having never played the rest?

Yes, you can pick up any of them and be just fine story wise.

I’m going to try and get through Oblivion before this comes out. My brother says he has something like 120 hours play time for Elder Scrolls IV and he still hasn’t finished the main quest lol
