PS3Blog How-To: Pop Out Chat

Here is a quick walkthrough video for registered members showing users how to enable the pop-out chat and get rid of it in the sidebar. It makes it much easier to chat with everyone, and you can even browse sites outside of the homepage. If you have a widescreen display like me, it’s a great way to use up the empty space on the sides of most web pages.

Alice: Madness Returns Will Include DLC of the Original Game

American McGee, told CVG, that the original Alice will be included as free DLC with purchase of Madness Returns.

“There’s also going to be pretty significant release which is the original Alice brought over to the consoles so that a person who’s purchased Madness Returns gets a download code and is able to bring Alice 1 onto their console and play through the entire original game alongside playing Madness Returns.”

This will be awesome, especially for those of us that never played through the first game.

-New competitive mode, Three Team Deathmatch 2 vs 2 vs 2.
-New competitive mode, Free for All.
-Late joining is enabled to ensure you get into matches quicker
-Local spit screen for multiplayer and you can log into two PSN accounts
-Buddy system where you can share treasure with a buddy and spawn near them.
-Full character customization, even named characters

-Upload cinema replays directly to Facebook.
-You can now sprint in multiplayer.
-Co-op does exist and has been greatly expanded upon.
-Multiplayer Beta June 28th.

Edit: Booster Slots and Kickbacks added after the jump!

9 Months of Playstation Plus – This is What We Got

Playstation Plus is a moderately controversial subscription based service on the PS3 that people seemingly love it or hate it. Regardless of what side of the fence you are on, one can’t deny the extreme list of free stuff that you get with a subscription. Another thing I see is people asking, “Whats the point of Playstation Plus anyways? What do you get?” I never really see a good answer that could justify the unknowing to make the purchase so today I lay all the chips out on the table so we can get a good look.

Besides the games, which are listed below, there are a few services that Playstation Plus offers. The biggest and most well known is cloud game saves. This allows you to store game save files on a server so that you can access them from any Playstation 3. Whether you go to a friends house to play there PS3, you own multiple PS3′s or simply had a PS3 die on you and lost all data, your save files will be safe and accessable.

There are also other services such as automatic downloads of recently used programs, early access to most beta’s and demos, full game trials and large discounts on downloadable software.

Now that we have some of the services out of the way, lets get to the games! This list is not a complete list and the majority of these games are no longer available to Playstation Plus subscribers as they do fall off of the PSN after a certain amount of time. You will easily see that in just 9 months, a subscriber may have easily tripled or quadrupled the value of the $50 they paid for originally.

LittleBigPlanet Levels Surpass Four Million & New Costumes!!

LBP and LBP2 fan made levels have now surpassed four million. This game continues to surprise me every time I get on to play. There are many levels so good, that I can’t even fathom how someone could make them on the PS3.

Eric Levine, of SCEA, explained, that “if you played LBP straight for 12 hours a day and only played each level for 5 minutes, it would take you more than 78 years to play through all of them. WOW!”

I’m sure they will hit five million before too long. Especially with new sticker packs on their way. The first to be announced, is the “Tron: Evolution Minipack, which will be released on April 26th for $2.99.” The pack will also contain two brand new costumes. Then in May, a KillZone 3 costume pack with two brand new costumes will arrive.

To see the Tron pack, and one of the KillZone 3 costumes, hit the jump.
